My success is that I am still here. I have had narcolepsy since I was around 12. I did not get a diagnosis until I was about 42. For 30 years I struggled as the narcolepsy destroyed everything I ever put my hand to. Once diagnosed and "properly" medicated I was able to carry on but I had already lost everything. Now I am 58 and I face a very bleak-looking future of economic crisis and failing health. However, I refuse to be negative. I WILL NOT GIVE UP AND I WILL NOT GIVE IN. I keep digging down deeper for more reserves of strength even as I am convinced there are no more. I WILL NOT GIVE UP AND I WILL NOT GIVE IN. I am still here. My advice: Be brave, be strong. Do not give up, and never give in. The narcolepsy is very strong and powerful. But we are stronger.
